We believe that every pet deserves more than just reactive or generic care - they deserve personalised lifelong wellness.
Too often, pet owners feel drawn into a system that endorses blanket preventative procedures and medication with little thought for pet individuality, the wider living world or the other needs within a family. It treats disease after it appears, with all the added emotional and financial burden that brings, rather than predicting and preventing it.
Our mission is to change this. We want owners to be empowered with knowledge, evidence and options. We want you to be a proactive partner in your pet's Healthspan.
Life is for living and we can't expect our pets to be free of sudden accidents, acute illness or even surgery – Puppies will eat pants, cats will get into scraps – but what you can expect as a Member is the unbiased, familiar, straightforward support of your personal Concierge Vet to guide and advocate for you and your pet during and after the crisis.

After 25 years as vets, we've witnessed a troubling shift in veterinary care. Once a field defined by long-term relationships and continuous, personalised care, modern veterinary practice has become fragmented - its continuity eroded by corporatisation and a system focused on treating diseases rather than preventing them. In our own referral setting, we've often been called upon to fill the void left by this reactive approach. Too frequently, we see pets walk around with low-grade, smouldering risk factors that go undetected until it's too late.
We recognised early on that our strength lies not just in naming and treating diseases, but in identifying the subtle transition from wellness to illness. Inspired by the principles of P4 medicine - predictive, preventive, personalised and participatory - we set out to empower pet owners to take charge of their pet's health. Our vision is simple: to move beyond the outdated, paternalistic system and create a future where health and proactive, data-driven care is the norm. By gathering individual health data over time and truly getting to know each pet, we can deliver personalised guidance that prevents medical crises and improves chronic disease management using modern technology - all while maintaining the timeless value of continuity of care.
This isn't just about treating illness when it arises - it's about nurturing long-term wellness so that every pet can live a healthier, happier life. Our journey began with the realisation that the only way to truly protect your pet's future is to change the way we approach care today.
We believe that there is no substitute for an experienced and thoughtful, independent veterinary team and that the best outcomes come from working together with owners and pets in an equal partnership.
At the heart of our work is the bond between people and pets. We are driven by our core beliefs that every animal deserves personalised, proactive care, every owner deserves considered, impartial advice and open communication and every vet deserves the clinical freedom to guide with expertise and compassion.

BVM&S MRCVS · Co-founder, Healthspan lead
Alastair graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in 1995 and has worked across small animal, equine and large animal practice. He has spent the last two decades arguing that the most valuable veterinary work is the kind done before symptoms appear — building baselines, watching trends and acting on subtle change early. At ConciergeVet he leads Healthspan: the longitudinal monitoring, early-detection thinking and continuity that get lost in episodic appointments.

BVM&S MRCVS · Co-founder, Painspan lead
Claire graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in 1997, with early experience spanning farm, equine and charity work in the UK and abroad before settling into small animal practice. Her drive is to improve daily life for families living with chronic pain and age-related decline, in ways that are focused, effective and kind on older bodies. She holds WSAVA Certification in Pain Management and leads Painspan at ConciergeVet — the longitudinal pain assessment, multimodal management and quality-of-life support that chronic conditions need between specialist appointments.
Veterinary care is on the brink of transformation. Advances in precision medicine, digital health monitoring and early detection give us the tools to detect disease earlier and extend pets' healthy years - but without a radical shift in how care is delivered, those advances risk remaining out of reach for many pets.
We believe the future of veterinary care will no longer centre around the treatment of disease - it will be built on the prevention of illness, the maintenance of health and the power of partnership.
Our vision is to place owners at the heart of their pet's healthcare journey - with personalised health strategies, continuous monitoring and truly unbiased expert guidance. ConciergeVet is more than a service - it's a model for how pet care can be done better:
Proactive, not reactive
Personalised, not one-size-fits-all
Continuous, not fragmented
Collaborative, not dictated
By creating a new system - one that combines cutting-edge medical insights with old-fashioned continuity of care - we can give pets longer, healthier lives while restoring the trust, partnership and compassion that should always be at the heart of veterinary care.
Traditional vet care is great for emergencies and routine services, but it's not built for long-term proactive health management. ConciergeVet is different - we focus on continuous monitoring, early disease detection and personalised, expert-led guidance to maximise your pet's healthspan. Think of it as having a dedicated veterinary partner invested in your pet's long-term wellbeing.
This question gets to the heart of what we do. Most serious diseases don't appear suddenly - they emerge gradually through subtle changes that are easy to miss. By the time symptoms are obvious, intervention becomes more difficult and costly. Our approach is about monitoring trends over time, catching early warning signs and making small adjustments that can prevent major problems down the line. Prevention is always more effective than reaction.
We understand that this approach may feel new. If you're curious but uncertain, we encourage you to explore our service pages or take the Free Pet Health Quiz to see how proactive care might benefit your pet. There's no pressure - just information to help you make an informed decision.
