Beyond Checkups: The Future of Preventative Care

Routine, hands-on vet visits are essential. But they don't tell the whole story.

Our Healthspan Testing goes deeper - screening for early disease, genetic predispositions and providing valuable, pet-personalised data. Empowering you to be their very own Health Advocate.

Just as human longevity clinics use baseline data, trend monitoring and early biomarkers to track health over time, we bring that same forward-thinking approach to veterinary care.

This isn't about replacing your vet. It's about giving you - and them - more information to work with.

Baseline → Monitor → Adapt
The logic of human longevity medicine, applied to the pets we love.

Genetic Testing

Genetic Testing

Genetic testing reveals inherited risks for specific diseases that may develop later in life. For dogs and cats with known breed predispositions - such as heart conditions, clotting disorders or degenerative diseases - early genetic insight allows for tailored monitoring and proactive care planning.

  • Identifies breed-specific disease risks
  • Guides personalised prevention strategies
  • Informs breeding and family planning decisions
  • Provides clarity for lifelong care

Genetic information doesn't predict certainty - it provides probability. But knowing what to watch for can change how we care.

How Testing Needs Change with a Pet's Age

Just like in human medicine, a pet's healthcare needs evolve as they age. The most appropriate tests depend on their life stage, breed-specific risks and lifestyle factors.

Puppies and kittens benefit from early genetic screening and infectious disease testing, while adults require baseline organ function and inflammatory markers to catch early signs of disease.

As dogs and cats enter their senior years, more comprehensive screenings for cancer, cardiovascular health and chronic disease management become essential.

Precision medicine allows us to adjust testing over time, ensuring proactive care that evolves with your pet's changing needs.

The key principle:

Testing adapts - it doesn't escalate. We're not chasing problems. We're staying ahead of them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Regular vet visits are essential - and we're not suggesting otherwise. But a clinical exam is a snapshot. It can't detect early biomarkers of kidney disease, identify genetic cancer risks or track trends over time. Healthspan Testing complements routine care by providing data that physical exams alone cannot reveal. It's about seeing further, not seeing instead.

That's exactly when it matters most. By the time symptoms appear, disease is often already progressing. Early detection - before clinical signs - gives you and your vet more time and more options. This isn't about finding problems. It's about creating a baseline and monitoring change before it becomes urgent.

It depends on your pet's age, breed and health status. Younger pets may only need baseline testing every 1–2 years. Senior pets, or those with known risks, benefit from more frequent monitoring - typically every 6–12 months. We'll recommend a schedule tailored to your pet, and you can always adjust as their needs change.

Testing is personalised based on your pet's profile. It may include genetic screening, early biomarkers for kidney and liver function, cancer detection panels, cardiovascular screening, microbiome analysis and parasite testing. We only recommend what's relevant - not everything for everyone.

We're launching Healthspan Testing with a limited number of places to ensure quality and personalised service. If you're interested, we encourage you to join the waiting list. There's no obligation - just an opportunity to be informed when we're ready.
